About the Artist

From an early age, Peter Heisler has alternately drawn, painted, sculpted, and built stained glass, as well as enjoyed printmaking and woodwork. His first employment was silk-screening for 8 years, but he never had the time to pursue the arts. After 29 years at the Post Office, he now teaches himself to paint with acrylic on canvas.

"I want to paint stories with enough content to create a narrative where the viewer can enjoy and embellish with their own story, whether agreeing or disagreeing, and leave with something more than before they viewed my work."
